On June 25, 2024, a grand event dedicated to the IMO (International Maritime Organization) Day of the Seafarer was held at the St. Nicholas Business Club, with over 120 guests. The event was held by Arcadia Shipmanagement Co Ltd and Aegean Bulk Co INC.
The event took place at the Roof Garden of the St. Nicholas Business Club, and seafarers were honored with awards presented by Capt. Dimitrios Mattheou, CEO of Arcadia Shipmanagement and Aegean Bulk, Chairman of the Green Award Foundation, and Founder and President of the St. Nicholas Business Club, and other executives from the shipping companies.
The splendid award ceremony was followed by an inspiring and emotional speech by Capt. Dimitrios Mattheou, who, as a former captain with extensive experience at sea, understands and appreciates the value and contribution of seafarers.
During the warming welcome, distinguished guests enjoyed a delightful Welcome Drink Reception with Kir Royal champagne. A lavish selection of dishes, the club’s exquisite wine collection, and a variety of drinks and cocktails were offered at the Executive’s Bar and the Roof Garden’s bar.
A live performance from a singer and DJ, entertained the guests and contributed to the cheerful mood of the evening.
